This young girl’s fate was not in favor of her at first. But, after being rejected by her own mother and 20 more families, her fate finally changed. Luca Trapanese is her new dad who decided to adopt her, changing her entire fate. The story of Luca Trapanese’s journey to adopting baby Alba went viral on the internet; maybe, one reason is the fact that social services don’t often grant custody to a single, homosexual man. However, they made an exception for Luca. And we are very happy they did. Baby Alba now lives with her new father in their happy home.

The BBC reports that 41-year-old Italian Luca published a book where he revisits his journey of becoming the father of Alba, a girl with Down syndrome. During a radio interview, Trapanese explained that his case is special because it “destroys stereotypes about fatherhood, religion, and family.” In Italy, adoption for single and homosexual parents has been a complicated affair.

Luca adopted Alba back in 2017 when she was just 13 days old. By that time, she had already been rejected by 20 families due to her condition.

Luca, who had worked in a host of care centers for people with special needs, always wanted to become a father.  And that is why, despite the fact he has no partner, he decided to go ahead with adopting baby Alba.

As the BBC reports, Alba is a determined young child who can be stubborn on occasion. Despite being occasionally stubborn, she is a lovable child who enjoys leisure time. She loves to play and dance, and enjoys the company of other people.

We are sending loads of love to the happy father and daughter. We hope that both of them will have very bright futures filled with more and more happiness.
