Even though you might not have heard of the tree kangaroo before, this creature is the national animal of Australia. These animals share many similarities with regular kangaroos, but what makes them unique is the fact that they are super fluffy and appear as if small bears. Tree-kangaroos can be seen in the mountainous and lowland forests of Northern Australia, Papua New Guinea as well as Indonesia.
Very little information is known about these cute creatures. However, they have gotten used to living in comfort on trees. Tree-kangaroos possess strong forelimbs that come in handy when climbing trees. Their short legs make them appear similar to lemurs. Since these animals are very rare and beautiful, they have garnered much popularity among humans. In the year 2016, the first of them was born in captivity. Finally, after a period of 36 years, this gave a ray of hope for the continuation of the species.
